Our ‘Get Hawked’ fundraiser is a fun community event where volunteers secretly place a group of hawk heads a target person’s front yard. The homeowner pays a donation to have the flock removed, send it to someone else, or buys “anti-hawking insurance” in advance to stay protected.
How It Works
- The Surprise Drop: Cheerleaders covertly set up 12 Hawk Heads on a lawn under the cover of night so the owner wakes up to the surprise.
- The Notice: A sign or attached pouch explains the cause and lists the rules.
- The Options:
- Removal: Pay a small fee ($10) to have the birds taken away.
- Migration: Pay a fee ($25) to remove the flock and send it to a friend or neighbor’s yard.
- Insurance: Pay “Anti-Hawk Insurance” ($50) so community members can pay to guarantee their yard is never targeted again.
